When 16-year-old Matilda Memon keeps her deadly cancer diagnosis a secret from her deeply religious father, Gabriel, it becomes the starting point for a complex web of events. These events unfold over the course of three crucial autumn days in the small town of Jönköping in 1999.


In this story, we follow no less than 15 main characters, whose lives are interwoven within the walls of the church, hospital corridors, and family homes in a coming-of-age tale of love, faith, and human dilemmas.


The narrative takes you on a seamless flow through six families, parents, and teenagers whose secret double lives are suddenly on the verge of being exposed. From Matilda's hidden cancer diagnosis to Dag Björk's secret love for her, Johan Björk's inner struggle with his identity, Lucia's battle against scandalous rumors, as well as the sudden return of the Ringborg family's haunted past, 'Kingdom's Hall' is a film that takes us on an emotional rollercoaster.
